Korn are an American metal band, formed in 1993. The band currently consists of Jonathan Davis, James ‘Munky’ Shaffer, Reginald ‘Fieldy’ Arvizu, Brian ‘Head’ Welch and Ray Luzier. They released their self-titled debut album in 1994. They released four-track from this album, Blind, Shoots And Ladders, Need To, and Clown. Blind charted in the number fifteen spot in the Canadian RPM Alternative 30. The self-titled Korn album was positively reviewed by critics and has been said to have been the album to establish nu metal as a genre. It has been certified as a two-time platinum album by the RIAA. The 1996 follow-up album, Life Is Peachy, debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200. Three tracks were released, No Place To Hide, A.D.I.D.A.S., and Good God. A.D.I.D.A.S. became the first single to chart. Before the release of the 1998 album, Follow The Leader, they hosted a weekly online TV show. This showed the making of the album, special guest stars, and a section for fans to ask the band questions. They are among the first musicians to use the internet like this. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and contains two of the band’s most successful singles, Got The Life, and Freak On A Leash. Freak On A Leash won a Grammy and Nine MTV Music Awards. The fourth album, Issues, was released in 1999, with three tracks from the album being released as singles, Falling Away From Me, Make Me Bad, and Somebody Someone. Korn released Untouchables in 2002, and the single Here To Stay won them another Grammy. Take A Look In The Mirror was released in 2003, with a Greatest Hits album released in 2004. In 2005, See You On The Other Side was released, with two successful singles, Twisted Transistor, and Coming Undone. They released an acoustic album in 2007 after performing for MTV Unplugged, and an untitled album four months later. Remember Who You Are was released in 2010, followed by The Path Of Totality in 2011. They were inducted into Kerrang’s Hall of Fame in 2011. The next album, The Paradigm Shift was released in 2013 and were inducted into the Hollywood Rockwalk the same year. Their twelfth studio album, The Serenity of Suffering was released in 2016. Korn have become one of the most influential bands in this genre, and are cited as an inspiration by Lacuna Coil, Shinedown, Drowning Pool, Seether, and Three Days Grace. Their music has been featured in many movies and television shows.
